How to Not Get Stressed at Christmas

Christmas Stress
How to Not Get Stressed at Christmas

Things are crazy. Christmas is upon us which means a zillion presents to buy, there are ridiculous deadliness at work- your boss must think you are a miracle worker and your friends are joking that you have moved to another country as they don't see you any more.

You are busy. Hectic in fact.

There aren't enough hours in a day to do what you want and your boyfriend is sick of you being overtired and grumpy.

Stop.

Yes, I know it seems counter-intuitive and maybe you are even angry at me for suggesting so.

But whilst you are running around like a blue-arsed fly, you actually aren't achieving much.

Efficient - Yes

Effective - Ha no, well at least most likely not.

When we slow down to gather our thoughts we can make sense of the madness, prioritise. I don't mean putting out the fire inside the house before the one on your doorstep.

As much as it may pain you to slow down. It will benefit you.

When you work out YOUR priorities, not anyone else's. It will be easier to know what you need to do first.

Focus on what is important to you and you will feel more in control. You will be more productive and happier.

If you want more support during this time, book yourself a free 30minute consultation to hear how therapy could help you.
