Anxiety

And yet, anxiety can be hard to identify. It can show up in many different ways mentally, physically and emotionally.

It can mean at times you feel:


  • Worried

  • Stressed 

  • Exhausted

  • Held back

  • Unable to concentrate

  • Life is more difficult 

  • Frustrated

  • Tense 

  • Headaches

  • Your mind won't switch off

  • Not good enough

  • A general sense something is wrong but not able to understand why

You then potentially miss out on opportunities and living life according to your anxiety rather than how you want.


When anxious you may: 


  • Avoid social gathering's

  • Avoid intimacy in relationships

  • Avoid relationships

  • Feel you need more support than others

  • Not stand up for yourself

  • Avoid new experiences 

  • Have plans for the future which seem more like fantasy than a reality

  • Be thinking "I thought there was more to life than this"

  • Procrastinate

  • Not apply for promotions or new roles

  • Avoid switching careers

  • Fear commitment

  • Avoid dating

  • Find it hard to relax and enjoy life

  • Avoid crowds

  • Avoid travelling

  • Develop phobia's
